LANGline is the mailing list for language professionals, people working with languages in any way, shape or form. Whether you’re translating, editing or proofreading in other languages, LANGline is for you.

Posting messages to LANGline

Subscriptions

You can subscribe and unsubscribe yourself from the automated or automated digest mailing lists automatically using the forms below.

If you will be unable to collect your e-mail for several weeks (due to holidays, etc), we recommend strongly that you unsubscribe yourself from the automated mailing list, not only to avoid returning to a full mailbox, but also to ensure that repeated out-of-office autoresponse messages being sent to the mailing lists.

Problems?

If you experience problems in unsubscribing from LANGline, the following might be a helpful reminder.

Some people subscribe to LANGline using a special address (specifically set up for receiving newsletters and such like) but forget that, to unsubscribe, this special address must be in the FROM field of your message. In other cases, although a subscriber has changed e-mail addresses since subscribing, the old e-mail address must be in the FROM field to unsubscribe successfully.

Archives

All messages contributed to LANGline are archived and available publicly, either on this Website in our archives. You do not have to be a member of the LANGline automated mailing list to view these archives.

Each LANGline digest issue (until February 2000) is saved as a plain text file (.txt), and are arranged according to the volume and year.
