The Electric Editors publish three mailing lists: EDline, Grapevine and LANGline. Each is available only upon subscription — but you’ll be pleased to hear that joining the Electric Editors and subscribing to one or all our mailing lists is free!
You can subscribe to as many of the lists as you think you’ll have time to read.
Our mailing lists are available in two formats: automated and digest forms.
By subscribing to an automated mailing list, you will receive e-mails immediately they are posted to the list. (Note, though, that the volume of mail generated by these automated lists can be high.)
If you do not wish to receive individual mailings from the three mailing lists, you can opt to receive regular digest versions, in which all messages for a particular list are collated and organised into threads. Grapevine and LANGline are also available in digest form, generated automatically by our listserve software. We offer two versions of digests for EDline, a manually created one and the listserve-generated version. You can elect to receive whichever version you like.
It costs nothing to subscribe to EDline, Grapevine or LANGline and there are no passwords to remember.
EDline provides the opportunity for online discussion of matters editorial and editorial business, and to provide prompt answers to vexing questions. At some stage everyone working with words has a question to which they cannot readily find the answer; EDline is the forum for posing that question.
For further information, see the EDline homepage.

Grapevine is concerned with computers. It is a discussion forum for those working with computers within the international publishing industry. Editorial matters, including questions relating to the editing of computer books, are covered by EDline, the editorial mailing list.
For further information, see the Grapevine homepage.

LANGline links up people working with modern languages, and helps keep those interested up-to-date with the current issues and developments in working with languages.
For further information, see the LANGline homepage.
